When: Thursday, 17 November 2016

Where: Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel, 105 St Michael’s Road, Bournemouth BH2 5DU

Time: 6.00pm to 7.00pm (doors open from 5.45pm)

At The Coastal BID’s AGM in November there will be an opportunity for individuals from Coastal BID levy paying businesses to get further involved in future projects by putting themselves forward as Directors of the BID. The Coastal BID Board is composed of up to 18 Directors.They are accountable for:

  • Upholding and promoting the BID vision and objectives
  • Delivering the agreed programmes efficiently and effectively
  • Seeking to engender the mutual and active support of businesses and partners

This is a voluntary role, none of the Directors receive any remuneration.The Board currently meets monthly on a Tuesday, Wednesday or (mostly) Thursday for about two hours.

4. Review of 2014/15
A presentation will be made at the AGM covering the activities of the Coastal BID during the period 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

5. Presentation of the Annual Report and Accounts for 2014/15
Resolution: To receive and approve the Annual Report and Accounts for 2015/16.

6. Election of new Directors
As per the Articles of Association, one third of the Board of Directors voluntarily stood down at the end of the fourth year of the BID.
The following positions need to be filled:
Boscombe one representative
West Cliff one representative
Southbourne one representative
Local Authority one representative
Westbourne two representatives
Seafront / Pier Approach one representative
Any “Member” of the Bournemouth Coastal BID Company is eligible to stand for election as long as they have paid their 2015/16 levy in full.

7. Appointment of auditors for 2014/15

Resolution: To appoint auditors for the 2015/16 Accounts

8. Looking forward
The Chairman will use this opportunity to outline some of the new activities to be undertaken during 2016/17, including ongoing preparation for the CBID Renewal ballot.

All BID levy payers are welcome to attend the meeting, however, only those who are signed up as “Members” of the Company will be able to vote/participate during the formal part of the AGM.
