The Coastal BID’s spring campaign has been a great success. The key objectives for the campaign were to help accommodation providers during the spring months of February to May and support two brand new events, Wheels Festival and P1 Powerboats.
We attended two very successful holiday shows in London in February, where we showed off the new Bournemouth P1 Powerboat. We also launched our Wheels VIP completion. Anyone staying a minimum of two nights at participating hotels before 30th April was eligible to enter. The lucky winners of the Wheels competition were guests from The New Westcliff Hotel, The Collingwood Hotel, The Mirimar Hotel and The Whitehall Hotel.
Between March and May we ran three fortnightly promotions on SouthWest Trains and at selected high footfall stations south of London. These eye catching posters were designed to drive people to the Colour Your Life Facebook page and the Spring pages on the Tourism Website. This promotion was hugely successful, and we saw LIKES on Facebook rise from 1700 in February to 4700 by the end of May!
Our ‘Live Like a King’ competition promoted on Global Radio in the London area also gained a fantastic response with 4500 entries. The prize winners will enjoy their luxury stay at Langtry Manor Hotel on 20th June.
