Here is what is coming up!
Friday Night Fireworks Return To Bournemouth Seafront
One of Bournemouth’s most iconic summer traditions is back.
From Friday 24th July through to Friday 28th August 2025, the skies east of Bournemouth Pier will once again light up every Friday evening with the return of the popular Bournemouth Seafront Fireworks.
Launching at 10pm each week, the fireworks continue to attract thousands of visitors to the coastline throughout the summer season, helping create a lively atmosphere for local hospitality, retail, and leisure businesses across the district.
The event remains a key part of Bournemouth’s summer calendar, bringing people together to enjoy the seafront and experience everything our coastal destination has to offer during the busiest months of the year.
Celebrating Pride Month Across Our Coastal Communities
June also marks Pride Month! A celebration of inclusion, diversity, and the LGBTQ+ communities that contribute so much to the culture and vibrancy of Bournemouth and the wider coastal area.
Across the month, Pride offers an opportunity to celebrate welcoming spaces, community spirit, and the importance of creating places where everyone can feel comfortable, respected, and able to enjoy everything our districts have to offer.
Events and initiatives that bring people together continue to play an important role in shaping Bournemouth as an open, inclusive, and vibrant coastal destination.
Increase The Peace Festival
Taking place across Boscombe High Street on 30th August, Increase The Peace Festival is one of the standout community events of the summer calendar.
The festival celebrates music, creativity, wellbeing, and connection, bringing together live performances, workshops, activities, food, art, and family friendly entertainment in venues and public spaces across the area.
From local musicians and DJs to cultural performances, wellness experiences, community projects, markets, and interactive workshops, Increase The Peace creates a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere for people of all ages to enjoy.
The event continues to highlight the importance of community led experiences in shaping Bournemouth’s cultural identity, while also encouraging residents and visitors to explore Boscombe and support local businesses throughout the summer season.
Events like this help showcase the creativity, diversity, and community spirit that make Bournemouth such a distinctive place to visit and experience during the summer months.
Supporting Positive Nights Across Bournemouth’s Coastal Districts
Alongside this summer’s packed events calendar, local businesses and Night Time Economy teams are also being encouraged to take part in a free Active Bystander training webinar taking place on 16th July.
The 30 minute online session has been created to help build confidence around bystander intervention and supporting others in public spaces, particularly within the night time economy.
Delivered as part of wider work linked to the Unity Promise, the session will explore:
- The “5 D’s” of bystander intervention
- Safe ways to step in and support others
- Practical guidance for businesses and teams
The training is free to attend and forms part of ongoing efforts to help create welcoming and positive experiences across Bournemouth’s coastal districts this summer.
