Good news: the Bournemouth fireworks are back on and there are two nights to look forward to.

Following the UK Government’s wildfire alert, BCP Council took the precautionary decision to cancel the scheduled Bournemouth beach fireworks display. With emergency services already under additional pressure due to the conditions, the decision was made to avoid placing any further demand on resources.

While disappointing at the time, it was the right decision to prioritise safety and to support our emergency services.

We’re pleased to confirm that an additional fireworks date was added, giving Bournemouth a spectacular finale to the summer.

A nice surprise for the end of the summer!

🎆 Friday 28th August
🎆 Friday 4th September – NEW DATE

We look forward to welcoming visitors and residents to the beach for our fantastic summer evenings events!

Both displays start at 10pm.

Where to Watch

Free to attend and no tickets needed. If you want to be right under the action, the beach east of the pier is your spot, just get there for around 9:15pm before it fills up. For a quieter view, East Cliff gives you the whole bay from above with more space to spread out, and heading towards Boscombe thins the crowds while keeping a clear line of sight. If you’d rather sit down for it, Key West on the pier does table service with a view, and select Fridays have live music too.

Whichever spot you pick, bring a layer, the evenings are cooling off now the season’s turning.

Funded by Our Business Community

They’re made possible thanks to funding from Bournemouth Coastal BID’s hoteliers and seafront levy-paying businesses, working in partnership with BCP Council.

Rounding Off the Summer

Firework nights are always one of the best evenings of the year on this stretch of coast, and there’ll be two more to enjoy. Visitors can grab dinner or a drink at any one of our hotels or sea view restaurants, get down to the seafront early for a good spot, and stay for the show.

Thank you to BCP Council for keeping us updated, and to every hotelier and seafront business whose levy makes nights like these possible.
