If you are a Boscombe or Pokesdown business owner, no doubt you’ll know that this Sunday is Mardi Gras!
Fun for everyone kicks off at 11am with face painting, dog show market stalls, music and street theatre, and a fancy dress competition. In locations all around the area, including Boscombe Library, Christchurch Road pedestrian precinct (outside O2 Academy) and Pokesdown. The carnival parade sets off at 2pm from Pokesdown Station along Christchurch Road to Boscombe.
BBC Radio Solent will be broadcasting live, and the event is sure to attract a large crowd. So why not consider opening your business to capitalise on the increased footfall?
The Coastal BID has provided funding to purchase road signs for the festival, which can also be used for future local events.
