Bournemouth Coastal BID Proudly Sponsors The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2024

As part of our commitment to supporting community events and local businesses, the Bournemouth Coastal BID is thrilled to announce its sponsorship for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) 2024, a unique motorcycle charity event that raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health initiatives. This year’s ride, set to take place on Sunday, May 19th, promises to be an unforgettable experience for riders and spectators alike. This exciting development will not only showcase the beauty of our area but also provide an opportunity for local businesses to engage with the riders and spectators.

Event Overview

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa, has grown into a global phenomenon, uniting classic and vintage-styled motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world. Inspired by the dapper style of TV show Mad Men’s Don Draper, participants dress in their finest attire and ride through the heart of their cities to support a great cause.

We are excited to share that the Bournemouth-Poole ride has extended its route this year to include our vibrant coastal areas. The ride will start on the quay, coinciding with the RNLI’s 200-year anniversary festival, before cruising through the picturesque high streets of Westbourne, Boscombe, and Southbourne. Riders will also enjoy refreshment stops at Bournemouth Pier Approach and Boscombe Pier, where they will be greeted by the mayor.

How to Participate

To participate in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Bournemouth-Poole 2024, riders must register at the official DGR website: Official DGR Website. For more information about the event, visit or the Facebook event page: Facebook Event Page.
