Coastal BID AGM 2016
On Thursday 17th November, the Bournemouth Coastal BID AGM took place at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel. This was an opportunity for individuals from Coastal BID levy paying businesses to get further involved in future projects by putting themselves forward as Directors of the BID. The Coastal BID Board is accountable for:
– Upholding and promoting the BID vision and objectives
– Delivering the agreed programmes efficiently and effectively
– Seeking to engender the mutual and active support of businesses and partners

We’d like to welcome David Lock, Openwide International, as the newly elected Board Director, representing Pier Approach on the Board. Paul Clarke, Chairman, thanked at the meeting those who served as Board members and retired over the last year; Kate Shaw from KTPR and Steve Taylor, Fab Frocks in Westbourne and highlighted the longstanding involvement from Ian Goode, Openwide International, who retired at this AGM from the board.

Paul Clarke, Chairman of the Coastal BID presented the Annual Report and Accounts for 2014/15, as well as taking the opportunity to outline some of the new activities to be undertaken during 2016/17, including ongoing preparation for the CBID Renewal ballot. The audiences welcomed Councillor Jane Kelly, Bournemouth Council Cabinet Portfolio Regeneration & Public Health, who informed about progress with the Local Plans Scheme and highlighted the opportunity for businesses to engage with the Neighbourhood Plans, as one is emerging in Boscombe now.
Peter Lamb, Savills, presented proposals for the Winter Garden Development in Bournemouth and answered questions together with the responsible landscapers and architects from the meeting’s attendees.
The Chairman closed the evening by thanking to all those who attended the meeting and to all businesses for their ongoing support to and engagement to benefit from the Bournemouth Coastal BID.
