Between 2017-2022 the Coastal BID is planning to enhance Bournemouth’s Food and Drink sector. A pivotal part of the visitor experience in Bournemouth, for both locals and tourists, they have set aside a £1,100,000 investment budget to support coastal food and drink businesses.

Having nurtured wide-scale investment in new facilities across the town, the Coastal BID plans to focus on more events and marketing initiatives. This will create opportunities for businesses in the coastal districts to gain a bigger share of Bournemouth’s visitor market. The interests of the night time economy will also receive greater representation.

Andy Lennox, Koh Thai Tapas Restaurants said:

“The Coastal BID has delivered a range of events across the area offering new opportunities for food and drink providers.’’

Clive Mace, The Grove Tavern & Quarters Restaurant and Bars comments:

“The Coastal BID provides a voice for the night time economy outside the town centre.’’

The Coastal BID is highlighting these plans ahead of their renewal vote. Ballots have now been posted, with voting commencing on the 2nd May. Polls will close on the 1st June 2017.
