The Bournemouth Coastal BID is planning regular enhancement programmes to attract more visitors to Southbourne. They plan to maximise the town’s character, promoting its artisan and independent businesses.

Initiatives aim to improve Southbourne’s parking offer and links with local transport. Building on the success of events, such as Shake & Stir, they want to put Southbourne on the map as a vibrant cultural hub, delivering new opportunities for local businesses. They will also work with the Southbourne on Sea Business Association (SOSBA), to provide a special membership package for BID levy payers.

Tim Seward Manager, Cliff House Hotel said:

“The Coastal BID has created and supported events in Southbourne, driving increased footfall. Without the BID these events would not be possible.’’

Chris Rocker, Just Shutters said:

“The Coastal BID has supported a wide range of marketing initiatives and we need these to continue for the next five years to benefit local businesses.’’

The Coastal BID is currently undergoing a renewal vote. Business must vote ‘YES’ to renew the Coastal BID before polls close on the 1st June 2017.
