This event, with the Coastal BID as it’s primary funer, is a fringe event of the Arts by the Sea Festival. Now in it’s third year it really does bring something special to Boscombe, driving footfall and benefitting businesses. A series of spectacular events highlighting local talent, resources, heritage, galleries, creative spaces, pop ups, performance and live art throughout Boscombe.

Pop Up Costume – Expect way more than just fashion as we feature local fashionista’s and designers: – Kirsty’s Closet, bespoke costume and quirky creations where ‘everyone is individual, so why blend into the crowd! Hand-crafted, bespoke and unique costume, clothing & accessories. Suitable for all. – Jane Nevermore Clothing, alternative fashion label specialising in bright, expressive colours and eye-catching original prints. We aim to embody the freedom and energy of punk and rave, the drama and sophistication of goth and the hard-as-nails attitude of metal subculture.

Pop Up Fine Art: Fine Art Gallery & Life drawing. Shards organise Art Exhibitions to aim to promote newly emerging, as well as established artists, covering a wide range of genres. Shards is committed to bringing your art work to the wider audience. This years full Exhibition was held at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) in August 2014. See a range of the stunning pieces fresh from the BIC, and meet sculptress Linda Joyce in action!

Pop Up Urban Art including workshops & live battles. The very talented Redtail Studio’s exhibition, workshops and live art support artists and creative freedom. Run by artists for artists, they are a lively creative hub for artists to communicate, stock up on art supplies and create pieces. Look out for big things again this year!

Pop Up Immersive Arts – with Dorset Scrapstore materials be transported to another place entirely! Expect illumination, texture, and fascinating artists to meet.

Unit 3, Sovereign Centre – Creative Kids – Free Arts workshops for all ages! Creative Kids is an established children’s arts charity, with a vision of a community that invests in its children’s creativity. Where all children are given free access to the arts so they can realise their creative potential and are inspired to build for themselves a vibrant, diverse and connected community. To accomplish our vision we create both free and affordable, accessible arts events in Boscombe that encourage children’s participation and engagement with the arts and local artists. Boscombe Market – our bustling Saturday market will be enhanced with arts, crafts, music and food. Caterers, artists and makers are invited to celebrate the Boscombe culture and diversity to accompany our Great Exhibition events with an array of food stalls to include international cuisine. 9-5pm

Public Art Mural Launch and Street Party – Roumelia Lane 11th October Internationally acclaimed local professional artist Mark Lloyd and associates will commission a giant mural themed around ‘awakening’ in Roumelia Lane on the local arts charity Vita Nova site.

Public art gives a massive identity stamp to a town and Boscombe is delighted to host this piece! Sovereign Centre Mall – An array of arts, crafts & food stalls 11th October 10am-4pm

Free History tours around Boscombe, with our local tour guide and poetic characters, we will show you hidden gems of Boscombe, filling you will tales of bygone days and highlighting sights of culture, arts & heritage. You will likely be surprised! 11th October 11am from the Royal Arcade.
