Bournemouth Coastal BID is inviting coastal businesses to take part in this year’s Great British Spring Clean.
This is a simple, practical way to help make our streets, shopfronts and public spaces look cleaner, brighter and more welcoming, and ready for the season
Small actions by individual businesses can make a big difference when we all take part together.
Why take part?

How businesses can get involved
Outside your own premises
Choose one or two simple jobs:
Wash windows and doors
Clean shopfronts and signage
Sweep the pavement outside
Pick up litter and cigarette ends
Tidy planters or remove weeds
Remove old posters, stickers or tape
Adopt a nearby spot
Help smarten up something close to your business:
A street sign or lamp post
A bench or railing
A bus stop
A wall or small stretch of pavement
A quick clean or litter pick can really lift the area.
Work together
Team up with neighbouring businesses
Do a short street clean together
Tidy shared areas, planters or alleyways
Let us know if there are any parts of your area that could do with a bit of a pressure wash- the Coastal BID can help remove graffiti and general grime and dirt.
What the BID will do
Bournemouth Coastal BID will:
Promote participating businesses
Share before-and-after photos
Highlight the collective impact across the coastal area
Use our graffiti removal and cleaning truck on areas that need attention
Let’s make a visible difference
By taking part, you’ll be helping to make Westbourne, West Cliff, Pier Approach, East Cliff, Boscombe, Pokesdown and Southbourne feel cleaner, more welcoming and better looked after for everyone.
