Key Takeaways

Your BID levy is actively reinvested into practical services that protect, support and strengthen your business.
SentrySIS provides real-time security intelligence, helping reduce crime and improve communication between businesses and enforcement partners.
SEEDL gives you and your team free access to professional training, supporting compliance, service standards and staff development at no additional cost.
Community events like Chinese New Year help drive footfall, create vibrancy and support trading across our coastal areas.
• If you are not yet using these services or engaging with BID initiatives, now is the time to maximise the value available to you.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting levy-paying businesses, Coastal BID continues to invest in practical tools that help protect your business, support your staff, strengthen our coastal trading areas, and drive positive footfall through community events.

Two key services available to you at no additional cost are SentrySIS (security intelligence) and SEEDL (training and development). Both are fully funded through the BID levy for your use.

SentrySIS: Real-Time Security Intelligence for BID Businesses

SentrySIS is a secure intelligence and reporting platform operated as part of UK Partners Against Crime (UKPAC). It plays a vital role in helping businesses prevent crime, report incidents effectively, and work collaboratively with police and local authorities.

Through SentrySIS, BID businesses benefit from:

• Real-time incident reporting and intelligence sharing
• Early warnings about known offenders and emerging issues
• Stronger evidence packs to support police action
• Improved communication between businesses, security teams and enforcement partners
• Targeted action days and offender disruption

This system underpins much of the positive security progress seen across the Coastal BID area, helping to reduce repeat offending and improve safety for staff, customers and visitors. SentrySIS is already funded by Coastal BID and available to levy payers as part of the wider UKPAC partnership.

Get in touch if you need any support with this.

Making the Most of Your Levy

SentrySIS and SEEDL are two examples of how Coastal BID reinvests levy funding directly back into the business community, providing practical security support and meaningful staff development tools that would otherwise come at significant cost. These support our Safer Day & Night and Better Business pillars helping to create a positive environement to grow your business as well as offering real value to your business through team training and education.

If you are not yet using these services, we strongly encourage you to do so.

For support accessing either platform, or to find out more, please contact the Coastal BID team.

Thank you for helping us create safer, stronger and more resilient coastal trading areas.

Kind regards,
Coastal BID Team
