Route Maps:

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa, has grown into a global phenomenon, uniting classic and vintage-styled motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world. Inspired by the dapper style of TV show Mad Men’s Don Draper, participants dress in their finest attire and ride through the heart of their cities to support a great cause.

We are excited to share that the Bournemouth-Poole ride has extended its route this year to include our vibrant coastal areas. The ride will start on the quay, coinciding with the RNLI’s 200-year anniversary festival, before cruising through our districts’ picturesque high streets of Westbourne, Boscombe, and Southbourne. Riders will also enjoy refreshment stops at Bournemouth Pier Approach and Boscombe Pier, where they will be greeted by the mayor.

Bournemouth Coastal BID’s sponsorship of the DGR aligns with our commitment to supporting community events that bring people together, promote local businesses, and raise awareness for important causes. We encourage all classic and vintage-styled motorcycle owners to register for the ride and join the global community in making a difference.

How to participate

To participate in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Bournemouth-Poole 2024, riders must register at the official DGR website: Official DGR Website. For more information about the event, visit https://www.gentlemansride.com/ or the Facebook event page: Facebook Event Page.

As the excitement builds for this year’s ride, we urge local businesses and the community to show their support by displaying event posters and cheering on the riders as they pass through our streets. Together, we can raise awareness and funds for men’s health while showcasing the beauty and spirit of our coastal towns.
